Mark E. Butler, President

Mark Butler is a Certified Manager of Community Associations as designated by the Community Association Institute (CAI). Mr. Butler currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Florida Manufactured Housing Association. He was recently re-appointed by the Secretary of the Division of Business and Professional regulation to the Board of Directors of the Florida Mobile Home Relocation Corporation and currently serves as the chairman of the Board. Mr. Butler continues to pursue his designation as a “Certified Property Manager” (CPM) with the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM).

The firm manages Community Associations that are resident owned and investor owned, performs consulting work for community operators and manufactured home owner groups, and has been called upon to perform expert witness testimony on the proper operations and management of community associations.

Barbara Hemingway

Licensed Community Association Manager, REALTOR®

Barbara Hemingway is a native Floridian. Born in Orlando, Fl and moved
to the Space Coast until her young teens. She has lived in Arizona, California, Arkansas and Pennsylvania however her native roots brought her back to
Florida in 1986. She has been a part of Property Management since the late
80’s, starting her career as a PM in the Apartment Industry. Prior to entering
this field her background was in the Banking, and Financing industry.

Barbara is a licensed Community Association Manager, and recently has
earned her Certified Manager of Community Associations designation as well
as a licensed Realtor in the State of Florida. She enjoys travel, boating and spending time with her family. She and her husband Mark (also her business partner) have a 19 year old son and a adorable Grandchild Kimy who is 1 _ years old and we can’t leave out a family cat named Rhett.

Barbara has experienced all forms of Property Management and brings to each Community that she manages
her expertise at handling the different types of situations that arise as well as strong Customer Service skills. This is what truly sets her apart from others. She cares about the Community as a whole as well as the
owners who live there.

 

Charles Bell

Charles Bell and his family made Bradenton Florida their home in 1999. Charles was born in Jackson Mississippi and as a child of a military veteran, he travelled to several different localities including Germany and Colorado. He started his own family in Colorado and lived in Arizona, North Carolina and then made his home in the Sunshine State. He started his community management experience with MEB in 2007. Prior to entering this field his background was in Financial Services, Technical Support, Sales and Marketing.

Charles is a licensed Community Association Manager and a Life, Variable Annuity, Health Insurance Agent licensed in the State of Florida. He enjoys Rays baseball, fishing, travel, and enjoying time with his family. He and his wife Deb have two daughters and one granddaughter.

Charles is an integral part of MEB; he has managed several different types of communities including; HOA's , Co-ops and Condos. Combine this with his corporate experience Charles has a vast array of skills and the attitude necessary to get the job done; all while providing exceptional customer service.

Edgar Benn

Edgar (Eddie) Benn our Accounting Manager was born in Ocala, FL. He has lived in Indiana, Ohio as well as Georgia and came back to Florida in 2003. Eddie brings years of expertise
in the Accounting field to MEB. His knowledge and skills are a definite asset to our
Company. He recently earned his CAM license (Community Association Manager) to further
his skills. He has worked in a variety of different fields over the years applying his accounting skills including Auditing, Controller of a Development company as well as Property Management. He enjoys travel, reading, and is an avid Nascar fan as well as spending his spare time building computers, and remodeling his house.

 

John Van Houten

John Van Houten is our Maintenance Operations Manager. He was born in Rockland County, NY, and moved to Florida in 1993. He has been with MEB for over 9 nine years. He brings with him years of experience in his field.

He is a member of the Knights of Columbus, Bradenton Council. He also served on the Bayshore Elementary School PTO. He has three sons aged 16, 14 and 10.

John enjoys a variety of sports including baseball. He is very active with his church. He also enjoys playing golf and bowling.

Jeffrey Burdick

Jeffrey Burdick was born in rural northwest Pennsylvania and grew up on a small farm. He worked in the logging/paperwood and oil refinery businesses as a young adult.

In 1974 he married Patricia Heffernan and moved to Florida. They have two adult children and three pre teen grandchildren.

Jeffrey spent almost thirty years in Emergency Medical Service in Manatee County, Florida, both in county and private service. The majority of which was in management.

Jeffrey has managed and conducted maintenance for rental properties since 1985, mostly his own on a small time basis.

In 2004 Jeffrey became self employed as an investor who bought, rehabbed and sold homes.

Jeffrey joined MEB in 2007 as a maintenance supervisor and has filled several positions as needed by MEB.
